The death toll is twice as high as the week before.

The data show that COVID-19 hospitalizations dropped slightly on a week-to-week basis – 63 between Nov. 19-25, compared to 71 the week before – and there were three fewer lab-confirmed COVID outbreaks on a week-to-week basis.

Three COVID-positive patients required intensive care between Nov. 19-25, down from five the week before.

“COVID-19 activity remains moderate; most indicators remained stable throughout the current reporting period,” read a note accompanying the data.

Influenza numbers, however, appear to be anything but stable.

There have been 99 confirmed flu cases so far this season, and 51 were detected between Nov. 19-25.

Eight people required hospitalizations, and three needed intensive care. There was one “influenza-like illness” outbreak at a school. To date, there have been no confirmed flu deaths this season.
